Efficiency and other facts about speakers

Loudspeaker Low Efficiency doesn't seem to be a problem for an audiophile whose amplifier is 100 Watts or more. The simple way to describe the main difference between loudspeaker  with 87 dB efficiency and the loudspeaker with  94 dB efficiencies is when the very low level signals are playing. The more efficient loudspeaker will pick up  the low signal and will perform the low level recordings while the 87dB speakers won't move at all. It will move eventually when the higher signal is playing. It is a matter of producing not only lower details but also playing the sounds with richer, more accurate tone structure.

When the medium level signal is produced the 87 db speaker will perform with 3 basic dynamic levels while the 94dB  will perform the same signals, only with 8 different dynamic levels.

At the high signal level the 87 dB unit won't be able to produce any dynamic changes and the drivers will just compress the sound. The 94 dB will still perform those high signals without compression and with greater dynamics.
